Clay & Coffee: A Pinch Pottery Workshop | Oct 24 @ 10 AM

Slow down, sip something beautiful, and create something with your hands.

Join us at Poets & Prose Coffee Roasters for a cozy morning of pottery, specialty coffee, and creativity.

This hands-on workshop will be led by Lara, the talented ceramic artist behind the Celina & Evergreen mugs. If you've admired these beautiful handmade mugs at Poets & Prose, here's your chance to learn from the maker herself!

Lara will guide you through the art of hand-building your very own ceramic pinch mug, sharing her techniques and love for working with clay along the way.

Whether you're completely new to pottery or simply looking for a creative escape, this workshop invites you to slow down, get your hands a little messy, and make something uniquely yours.

What to Expect

Create Your Own Ceramic Mug
Under Lara's guidance, learn to shape and personalize your own pinch mug using traditional hand-building techniques. No pottery experience required!

Coffee & Light Bites
Enjoy freshly brewed specialty coffee from Poets & Prose, accompanied by light pastries and bites. You may even get the opportunity to brew your own coffee with our guidance.

From Clay to Finished Mug
After the workshop, Lara will take your creation back to the studio for drying, hand-glazing, and two kiln firings, transforming it into a functional, food-safe ceramic mug.

A Handmade Keepsake
Your finished mug will be ready for pickup at Poets & Prose approximately four weeks later. Local delivery is also available for an additional $5–$7.
